We supply a range of covers to fit with different Swim Spa ranges.  When you are purchasing your Swim Spa, please speak with our team to discuss the benefits of the different styles of cover for your particular requirements.   The information below gives a summary of the options we have available, please note that images below may differ from the actual installed design.

Standard Swim Spa Covers

Each Swim Spa comes with a Stormshield sectional cover as standard. The Stormshield hard cover locks heat in and keeps the cold out. Thermalax vents also maximise energy efficiency in any season 

End2End Covers

The revolutionary one-piece design of these made-to-measure covers locks in the heat, saving energy consumption and cost by making a complete seal on-top of the swim spa or in-ground pool. The End2End Cover design enables one person to roll the cover off the swim spa in less than 60 seconds! Perfect for accessing the pool for a quick workout or aqua therapy! (A cover shelf is required to hold the cover, please ask our team for more information!) 

Rollaway Cover

Rollaway Spa Covers are next generation one-piece spa covers, which creates a complete seal on top of your swim spa. Perfect for locking the heat, lowering energy consumption and cost, the Rollaway Spa Cover design enables one person to roll the cover off the swim spa in less than 60 seconds. This provides immediate access to the swim spa for swimming, aqua fitness, and hydrotherapy!

Our luxury Swim Spa steps provide the ultimate in durability and assemble in a snap. They feature a drinks holder and towel bar as well as 36" wide non-slip treads for improved safety. Dual handrails offer assistance when getting in and out of your swim spa!

Preparing for delivery and installation is imperative to ensure your swim spa can be delivered and installed on the agreed date. Preparation for your swim spa includes creating a foundation for your swim spa, ensuring the hot tub can be connected to the electrical supply and can be filled with water. For the exact dimensions required for your swim spa base, please contact your sales expert and they will advise what you require.

Concrete

A poured slab of concrete or concrete patio are required to place your Swim Spa on. We advise the following steps as a minimum concrete base for your Swim Spa:

• Excavate a 20-30cm/8-12inch deep area for your concrete base and use a Wacker plate to compact the area down
• Lay 20-25cm/8-10inches of MOT type 1 sub-base gravel to fill the area and repeat Wacker plating to compact this again
• Lay a minimum of 15cm/6inches of concrete to fill the area

The concrete support slab must be flat and level in order to properly level the Swim Spa during installation. The concrete pad should be slightly larger than the dimensions of the Swim Spa, but may be expanded further if required. Ensure that your concrete base is capable of supporting 1,500kg/m² (250lbs/ft²).

Indicative pricing shown below includes labour and materials for the construction of a strong 6x2 pressure treated wooden frame, supported by 4x4 posts in metal brackets all around the spa to a semi-sunken depth (approximately 80cm). This is then topped with a composite decking of your choice.

• Composite decking is around £205per m²
• Hardwood decking is around £185 per m²
• Softwood decking is around £130 per m²  

Semi/Fully Sunken – Concrete

• To create a strong in-ground rectangular concrete structure for half submerging a swim spa to include a sump well, float switch activated pump and 10 metres of pipework.
  
  
• To create a strong in-ground rectangular concrete structure for fully submerging a swim spa to include a sump well, float switch activated pump and 10 metres of pipework.

Crawl Space/Servicing Space

It is recommended that a 60cm clearance is left on each side of the SwimSpa to ensure adequate accessibility on all sides for service/maintenance access.

All SwimSpa installations will require some form of lifting equipment to manoeuvre the unit from the delivery vehicle into position within your garden. This can include use of a Hiab or a suitable size Crane to complete the lift. Your Sales Expert will advise which method will be required upon completion of your site survey.

• Average fully insured Hiab hire cost is £600+VAT
• Average fully insured Crane hire cost is £1200+VAT

Please note that all projects will also be subject to a site survey by the chosen lifting sub-contractor to allow them to provide an accurate quote for your project.

As a representative example, this quote will include:

• Fully insured lift with suitable Hiab/Crane
• Lift Supervisor
• Slinger/Signaller
• Radios
• Risk Assessment
• Method Statement
• Crane lifting plan
• Insurances
• Additional equipment such as; outrigger mats, road closure licenses, lifting beams, gantry equipment

Your SwimLife SwimSpa requires a dedicated power supply through an RCD trip:

• For a 20amp power supply, 4mm² 3-core SWA cable is needed.
• For a 32amp power supply, 6mm² 3-core SWA cable is needed.
• For a 40amp power supply, 10mm² 3-core SWA cable is needed.

An IP65 45AMP Rotary Isolator Switch is also recommended so that the SwimSpa can be isolated outdoors in an emergency or for service work. This is simply a rotary on/off switch but should be sited more than 2 metres away from the SwimSpa so that bathers cannot be in the SwimSpa whilst touching the switch.

Your electrician will also need to fit a suitable weatherproof block connector to the end of the tail from the isolator, then the SwimSpa can be directly hard wired into the weatherproof block connector inside the SwimSpa.

Your electrician will need to leave enough spare cable attached to the isolator to go the furthest side of the SwimSpa. If your isolator is located further away, then please use a longer length of cable.

**Electrical installation must be completed by a qualified electrician and must comply with BS:7671 – “Requirements for Electrical Installations IET Wiring Regulations”

A swim spa requires a significant volume of water to fill, as such a mains water supply and a hosepipe long enough to reach your swim spa from the supply is a necessity to ensure your installation is quick and easy.

Your swim spa install is organised around your availability.  Our team will call you 3 days before the agreed delivery date, with a reminder of the delivery slot & the access they’ll need, then it’s time to bring your swim spa.

Delivered with care and wrapped in secure protective packaging, this is the beginning of our half-day installation. Our team then gently manoeuvres the hot tub into position and connects up the electrics. All that’s left to do then is fill with water and take you through the running instructions.

In short, Jacuzzi’s are simple to maintain. You certainly don’t need a chemistry degree. There are two main elements to look after and that is the sanitiser level (i.e. chlorine or bromine) and PH level. You will need to test the water (using simple paper test strips which change colour and give you a reading within 10 seconds) you will know whether to add any chemicals as result of the reading on the test strip.  

Jacuzzi’s are set to filter the water itself, passing the water through a UV-bulb – killing 99.9% of bacteria as an extra form of sanitisation.

For even simpler maintenance, we recommend using a product called AquaFinesse .  In one simple weekly treatment their patented environmentally friendly formula gets to the root of the problem by loosening this layer of slime from the surfaces, it is then rinsed away by the action of the water and prevented from reforming. Result, a dramatic reduction in the levels of bacteria, needing only the minimal amount of sanitiser! Even calcium, the notorious destroyer of spas, is no match against the power of AquaFinesse.
